Pet Peeves
There are a few things in this universe that really annoy the ever lovin shit out of me.
Today I got to experience one of them.
I went to the WallyMart in search of Cadbury Cream Eggs for my brother (I ALWAYS get them for him for the easter basket I make him).
Anyway.
I was in the WallyMart and I was standing in line. There was an OBNOXIOUS woman in line in front of me. Most people stand BEHIND their carts and then load the conveyer belt when there is enough space so that the cashier can tell where the previous order ends and your order begins. NOT this chick. She stood in front of her cart and refused to put any of her items on the belt until the woman in front of her was completely checked out and had paid. Fun, right? After loading her crap on the belt she still refused to move her cart in FRONT of her so that I could advance. AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH ! ! ! ! ! ! So, once there was enough room on the belt I went ahead and plopped down my stuff much to the annoyance of the heifer in front of me.
But I digress.
I haven't even gotten to my pet peeve !
The contents of her cart consisted of 2 bags of dog treats and about 10 bags of candy. It's one of these bags of candy which peeved me.
It was opened and she had to hold it and hand it to the cashier, explaining that the bag was open.
This has been something that drives me INSANE since I was a young child. People who GRAZE while shopping ! ! ! ! ! ! !
People who are apparently SO starved that they have to rip open one of the food items in their cart and begin to chow down because GOD FORBID they WAIT until they get out to their CAR ! I remember being a little girl, sitting in the shopping cart as my mother pushed it, and having her tear open boxes of popcicles or bags of cookies because she "just couldn't wait" and it drove me nutty THEN ! I mean COME ON PEOPLE ! ! ! Are you really that malnourished???? Or is it a issue you have with self control???? The only thing that night be worse in my opinion is those people who graze at the grocery store in the produce section. You've seen them ! The people who just "have" to "try" the grapes that they don't bother to buy. And, should they decide to buy them they're CHEATING the store seeing as how those grapes are charged based on weight - they're SMUGGLING some of that weight out in their STOMACHS ! ! ! ! !
ARG ! ARG ! ARG !
Drives me NUTS ! ! !
So, back to the WallyMart....
It was all I could do to bite my tongue and not yell at that woman and ask her if she was REALLY that HUNGRY that she couldn't wait and had to rip into the bag of candy and stuff her face ! ! ! !
