No longer a no-name kitty ! ! ! ! ! !

I've officially got a name for Kitty ! ! ! !
YIPPEE ! ! ! !
It hit me yesterday as a matter of fact...
Koi
A name with 2 meanings....
Koi - as in the fish - because his colors remind me of a koi...

The second meaning of his name is, if you look up the word "coy" in the dictionary, the first definition is: " Tending to avoid people and social situations" which is his personality DEAD ON !

FUN with homonyms ! ! !

And so...we have a name !
YIPPEE ! ! !
More than that !
We have PROGRESS ! ! ! ! ! ! !
BIG PROGRESS ! ! ! !
He is becoming QUITE social with me !
He's now laying in a kitty bed a good portion of the time and he seems to have quite a good appetite ! He LOVES to be pet and has even come VERY close to showing me his belly !
Koi is a WONDERFUL cat who is just so loveable ! ! ! He's really such a sweet boy !
And he's even beginning to "talk" now !
When I walk into his room and say "hello" to him, he responds with a small "meow" sound.
SQUEEE ! ! ! ! ! !
Today I may try to let him out of the crate into the room for a bit - give him a chance to stretch and explore a bit.

Now...
For the most important part of this post....
NEW PICTURES ! ! ! !
Meet the new and improved Koi !

how much longer until he can come out of the cage?? has he socialized with your other cats and bunny? I can't get over how cozy he looks. I want to buy my cats a bed like that! Did you buy it at Petsmart or Petco?

Unfortunately, he's stuck in the crate until he's been fixed and declawed. I really can't take the chance that he and my kitties will get into a tangle - he'd tear them apart - or risk him spraying as an attempt to "mark his turf". We've got our follow-up appointment to finish off his rabies booster in 2 weeks at which point I can schedule him for his operations.
He actually did get a little bit of "out of crate" time over the weekend...I let him out on the guest bed in a VERY controlled area. Agador jumped up on that portion of the bed with him and the two boys seemed to get along REALLY well - Agador even started trying to groom Koi ! ! !
He's still EXTREMELY nervous around J...but they're working on their relationship now.
On an "up note", though he's still crate bound, I have moved his crate onto the guest bed facing the window so that he can see outside and enjoy the natural light.
    :)
    As to his bed...
Yeah...he has become quite the cozy kitty ! :)
I actually bought it at the grocery store - but I just did a quick search and it can be found at PetCo and it's even on sale right now ! :)
It's called "Flexi-Mat Mysterious Kitty Kuddler".
Hope you get one for your little fuzzy kids ! I bet they'll LOVE it !
