Outrage, Frustration, Despair....Take Your Pick !

I really just don't know what to do at this point !

I woke up this morning to find this:

This destruction happened to a good majority of my plants. These are the bulbs that the fuzzy bastards dug up before. I figured that now that they've developed into actual plants and they were on baker's racks they should be safe. Apparently not. This is only part of the destruction - for there are 3 bakers racks out on my deck and ALL of them were hit.

Then there's this:

These were my pea plants that I grew from seed and planted out there last weekend. Now THEY'RE all destroyed. I'm not even going to bother trying to re-plant them before I leave for work. The bulbs I did the best I could to recover what I could but the peas can rot at this point.

FUCK GARDENING ! ! ! !
FUCK THE FUCKING WOODS ! ! ! ! ! !
FUCK THIS MOTHER FUCKING YARD ! ! ! !
AND FUCK YOU YOU FUCKING FUZZY PLANT EATING, BULB DESTROYING BASTARDS ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! FUCK YOU THE MOST ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

I think now I'm going to go have myself a good cry.

Sorry to see that your hard work got destroyed. Too bad your cats are not outdoor cats. That might help with keeping those furry bastards away. Last year a squirrel dug up my basil plants. Luckily they were not destroyed. I also live in the city where there are tons of feral cats (Oreo!) to keep those bastards at bay.

    Thanks for the sentiments. :)

I'm acutally surprised that the squirrels are so rampant around here beause we have feral cats who think this is their house largely in part thanks to the previous owner who was insane and would bring them all inside during the winter (hence destroying a good chunk of the house and making it smell of cat piss). They live in my back yard and under my deck so I'd think the squirrels would be scarce. Perhaps I need to find a feral cat like Oreo to come and guard my garden for me ! :)

At least your plants weren't destroyed last year. I'm sure it was a hassle to re-plant them but it's good that they were salvageable. :) I bought more seeds last night and will have to get them going this weekend so I can try, try again. And ! The 2nd tier of garden is cleared out now so this weekend I can start planting the potted plants that made it. The mulch seems to be stopping the bastards, so I'm going to have to ensure I have more on hand when I do that level. :)

    Hi there,
I just had a thought as I was reading your comment. I don't know if this would work but what about having a bird feeder(s) out in the yard, far from your plants, where the squirrels would go and be distracted by the birds and bird food. I know woodchucks hate geraniums but I don't know what squirrels hate. Good luck. I'm off to a plant sale this morning.
